	Tylyava and the region suffered much during the past 80 years. The village was evacuated and totally destroyed during W.W.I. In 1927 most of the inhabitants joined the Orthodox church together with the community of Terstyana. The tserkva in Tylyava was closed for a long time and there was danger of its collapse.
