BIBLIOGRAPHY and ABBREVIATIONS

ShemPerem - From 1828 until l939, there were 87 shematisms used in the collection of information for this book. A number were not published on account of wars, etc. For the missing years it was possible to piece together most of the lacunae. The abbreviation is followed by, the year in brackets. The re-established eparchy published a shematism in l994, which I have used chiefly to make note of re-established parishes since it is not within the scope of the book to cover the period after World War II.

ShemLemk - The shematism for the Apostolic Administration of Lemkivshchyna was published only once - in 1936, and was reprinted in Stanford, Connecticut in 1970 by Vasyl' Lencyk. It is full of extra information regarding the history of the parishes and villages in that part of the Eparchy of Peremyshl' which was separated in 1934.

CR - IWANUSIW, OLEH WOLODYMYR, Church in Ruins, St. Catharines, Ontario l987, 350 pages of full color photographs of all existing Ukrainian Catholic Churches which ended up in Poland after World War II and many sketches of those which were destroyed. Most of the information about the present state of the churches I have taken from this hook. The author has informed me that a second book is in preparation which will include the churches in the other part of the eparchy.
