"Чорний Потік" - етнічна музика України
Chorniy Potik - Boiko music of Chorniy Potik, Bili Oslavi and Chorni Oslavi.

The remnants of traditional Boiko musical culture were caught in the Pokuttia region of Western Ukraine, among what are considered the "colorful" villages of the Nadvirna district in the Ivano-Frankivsk district. These villages are in the reality "black-and-white" for they are called: Chorniy Potik [Black Stream], Chorny Oslavy [Black Oslavy] and Bili Oslavy [White Oslavy]. This collection should be viewed as complete and natural-authentic sketches of local traditional musical culture presented in the same order and circumstances in which it was recorded. Also, it can be viewed as three portraits of performers - two collectives and one solo. To express thi regions colorful background, commentary and stories recited by the performers as well as the sound of nature - birds, insects, cattle, cars, the emotional breathing of the performing violinist - were also included in the CD.
