Sts. Kosmas and Damian

Legend says that the tserkva stands on the same site where a statue of Perun, one of the pagan gods, stood at one time. In front of the bell tower lies an old twisted cross. A drawing of this cross was used as a symbol of a Lemko exhibit in Novyj Sanch in 1984. The tserkva was part of the parish in Chyrna, and at one time served some 500 souls. Today it is used by Polish Roman Catholics. .
