KOMANCHA
The tserkva in Komancha is unique with four in line domes located over a four chamber, old log construction, structure. Near the tserkva, we find a stylish and tall bell tower and two old crosses. The structures are under the protection of the Polish government as landmarks of architecture. The tserkva houses a number of ancient liturgical books dated from 1638 to 1793, has been refurbished and renovated, and is used by the Orthodox community since 1963. Killed here with a Polish bullet was Rev. Orest Venhrynovych (1902 - 1944), the Ukrainian parish priest in Komancha.
