Andriyivka is one of the oldest settlements in the area. An old bell dated from 1484 was still here before W.W.II. Its present whereabouts are not known. There is a legend about Andriyivka that concerns a seal portraying St. Andrew the Apostle with a slanted cross and the words: "Seal of the Community of Andriyivka". The similarity of this seal to ancient drawings of St. Andrew on the hills of Kiev are difficult to explain. The tserkva has been used as a Polish kostel for some time.
